Spaghetti al Pomodoro e Olio

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound spaghetti
  • 4-5 San Marzano dell'Agro Sarnese-Nocerino DOP tomatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup Cucino extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • Parmesan cheese, grated

Instructions:

  1. In a large pot of salted water, cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the premium extra virgin olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook until fragrant and lightly golden, about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add the chopped San Marzano dell'Agro Sarnese-Nocerino DOP tomatoes to the skillet and stir well to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Simmer the tomato sauce for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly and the flavors meld together.
